Thanksgiving Vacation Pictures Arizona |
| Went to Phoenix, Arizona for
Thanksgiving vacation 2000. Drove around a lot (just ask my son). First
pictures are heading towards Roosevelt Dam. The second picture shows Tortilla
Flat. We got a late start and had a scheduled dinner, so we actually
turned around before getting to the dam.
The next day we stopped at Arcosanti on our way to Sedona. The model shows the total plan, but only the part outlined in black has actually been started. After leaving Arcosonti, we continued on to Sedona. After going through Sedona we headed for Oak Creek Canyon, but again turned around before getting to the canyon. On the way south, we passed through the old mining town of Jerome. The following day we went south to Tucson and visited the Saguaro National Park. We ended this day with a sunset horseback ride on the east side of Tucson. On the 26th, we flew back to Detroit to start to rest up from our vacation. |
