Black Forest, Germany

In the southern portion of Germany is a forested area known as the Black Forest. Some say that it is called the black forest because the trees block out so much light, others say that when veiwed from a distance the trees appear black.

Besides viewing the various waterfalls, we also took a few hikes around the area. The rocky ground was accented by beautiful wild flowers.
