I had told Cheryl that we were going to move into a real dump to save money.  Unfortunately (?) the only acceptable apartment we could find was a brand new townhouse with air conditioning. In fact it was so new that when we moved in, the occupancy permit had not yet been issued by the city. (In fact, I'm not sure it ever was.) As you can barely detect from this picture the parking lot wasn't even paved yet.

The upstairs contained two small bedrooms and a full bath. The main floor contained a small living room, kitchen and 1/2 bath.

The full basement allowed us to buy a washer and dryer, so we didn't have to trek our dirties off to a laundramat. A more important advantage to the basement, was the ability to buy a new ping-pong table. Now that's fun.
